Classes taught at the UHCC include courses in ecology, environmental sciences, geophysics and architecture. See the News & Events “Events” tab for recent and upcoming courses.
UHCC scientists like Chelse Prather are active in promoting “pocket prairies” that help students of all ages experience the prairie wherever they might live. See a short video from Texas Parks & Wildlife that features Chelse at https://youtu.be/rMYvhJ_AZMs/.
The UHCC loves to have visitors! Tour groups, field trips and volunteers are welcome to come experience one of the rarest ecological habitats in the nation. Stop in and see the University of Houston at work preserving and restoring costal tall-grass prairie. To schedule a visit, email email@example.com at least three weeks in advance of the desired date with your name, your group, a couple options for tour dates and times that would work for you, and how many people you would like to bring.
